N.G.F: Usually we say a few words about what we’re showing. Shall we keep it shorter?

R.C: With these ink drawings, the focus wasn’t on language and signs in and of themselves, but on the relationships between language and, let’s say, “metalanguage,” or “visual representations.” Questions addressed to Le Déluge, thirty or forty years ago.

N.G.F.: That might be too brief.
